Advanced Contrology Program
Teacher Training
What is the Advanced Contrology Program?
This is a “graduate” level program for Pilates teachers who are fully certified and have been teaching for at least one year. It was created by Inelia Garcia to address the needs of teachers for a deeper and more profound understanding of the Pilates system and opportunity to build their own bodies under her supervision.
What are the goals of the Advanced Contrology Program?
This program aims to provide the participant broad and rigorous knowledge of the Pilates method. It strives to give a profound, wholistic understanding of the method in an academic setting. It focuses on the pedagogy and construction of the exercises, and the system.
This program offers each participant the opportunity to expand and deepen their personal practice and their personal fitness goals, with guidance directly from Inelia and her senior assistants.
Our intention is also to bring together professionals to share experiences and knowledge and build an international community of legacy teachers.
Who should take this program?
Certified teachers (min 600 hours) with at least one year of teaching experience. They should be comfortable and familiar with all the Pilates System apparatus such as the chairs, Cadillac, reformer, barrels, etc.

How does the program work?
PROGRAM OUTLINE
This program is taught in two live in-person modules of four days each and offers online support between the modules. Every student will perform the exercises of each apparatus during the live modules. Inelia Garcia will spot and correct the students throughout the program.
THE MODULES
The first module will cover the basic system including pre-pilates. The second module will cover the intermediate system. From the mat to each apparatus, the classical system will be detailed and deconstructed to show how to build exercises and how to modify exercises to instill inspiration and success for each of your clients.
ONLINE SUPPORT
Between modules you will attend online monthly mentoring sessions with Inelia Garcia where you can ask questions, see exercise demonstrations and participate in workouts to build your personal practice, body, mind and spirit.
